Kids NDIS School Holiday Group Therapy Programs

Our experienced team of Allied Health professionals is excited to offer a calendar of group therapy programs during the January 2025 school holidays. Designed for children with NDIS funding, these programs provide a fun and engaging environment to develop new skills, connect with peers, and work towards therapy goals!

Ready-Set-Go! School Readiness Program 

A specialised program designed for children aged 3-5 years old.

What is it?

A specialised early intervention program designed to help children with developmental delays and learning difficulties gain the skills and confidence needed for a successful transition to kindergarten or pre-primary. Starting formal schooling can be daunting, but this program eases the process by familiarising children with classroom settings, encouraging social interactions, and supporting the development of essential skills.

Who can benefit from the program?

Children aged 3-5 years old will benefit from this program, ensuring that they are well-prepared and confident as they begin their educational journey.

Butterfly Club Teen Group Program 

A therapy-led program designed for high school aged girls.

What is it?

A neuroaffirming and safe space for teen girls offering a supportive environment to build connections, improve self-confidence, and learn new skills. The focus is on collaboration, social connection, and self-care skills that enhance daily living and boost confidence. Participants develop abilities during the sessions that they can apply to other areas of life, including school, work, and social interactions.

Who can benefit from the program?

Girls aged 12-17 will benefit the most from the program, gaining age-appropriate skills and building meaningful social connections with peers in their age group.

Mini Movers Therapy Group Program 

A specialised program designed for children aged 6-12 years old.

What is it?

This structured workshop uses play to encourage the practice of various social and communication skills under the guidance of an experienced Occupational Therapist. It offers a valuable opportunity for children to engage in activities that promote fine motor skills, attention and concentration, problem-solving, bilateral coordination, and other essential social skills.

Who can benefit from the program?

The program has been designed for children aged 6 – 12, however any child looking to further develop their social and communication skills will benefit from the program.

Emotions in Motion Emotional Regulation Program 

A specialised program designed for children aged from 4 years old and above.

What is it?

This Emotional Regulation Program is designed to help children explore big feelings, develop coping tools, and learn to safely express emotions. Led by Occupational Therapists, children are grouped with peers of similar understanding to foster connections and long-term well-being. Through engaging activities, participants build resilience, confidence, and essential self-regulation skills for overall well-being.

Who can benefit from the program?

Children aged from 4 years and older will benefit from the essential skills developed this program.

Whisk Takers Cooking Group Program 

A specialised program designed for high school aged children.

What is it?

This interactive introduction to the kitchen helps children develop essential life skills, including cooking, while fostering independence and progression in daily life. Participants work on fine and gross motor skills, food preparation, and following instructions and routines, all within a fun and engaging environment overseen by an experienced Occupational Therapist. Our cooking group is more than just an enjoyable activity; it serves as a gateway to greater independence and improved well-being.

Who can benefit from the program?

High school aged children will benefit from this program. Through developing their culinary skills, children not only learn about nutrition and kitchen tasks but also gain confidence in their abilities.

Busy Bodies Early Childhood Program 

A specialised program designed for children aged 2-6 years old.

What is it?

A fun-filled activities-based session in a small group environment of up to 5 children. Children are engaged in a series of games & activities which have been carefully created by experienced Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech Pathologists.

Who can benefit from the program?

Any child can benefit from the variety of activities in this specialised group program. It is facilitated by an experienced Occupational Therapist and integrates individual therapy goals for each child.

If you’re unable to attend any of the group therapy sessions offered in January 2025 but are interested in the programs, we encourage you to register your expression of interest with our team. Future programs for each school holiday period in 2025 will be planned based on demand across Perth locations. Even if programs aren’t currently available in your area, your input could help us bring sessions to a location near you!
