Disability Accommodation and Supported Independent Living (SIL) Provider

Comfortable Supported Shared Housing Options

At St Jude’s, we have a carefully designed flexible service model that supports both independent and shared living options for NDIS funded participants. We recognise that sometimes adjusting your current living arrangements will make a huge difference to your sense of belonging. St Jude’s offers a range of disability housing options to ensure that people with disability can find the right kind of accommodation for their circumstances. Our team works closely with you and your family to source a type of specialist disability accommodation that suits your needs, and allows you to achieve greater independence.

We currently offer over 110 welcoming, thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing homes across Perth and WA’s. Our portfolio of supported, independent living options continues to grow, so you have a wide range of choices and will be able to find something that suits how you live. Our aim is to find disability accommodation that will feel like home to you, and give you the necessary support you need to achieve a balanced lifestyle. The key purpose is to give you a genuine sense of place, a strong connection with your community, and a safe, enjoyable place to live.

Supported Disability Accommodation – Benefits

The team at St Jude’s understand that people with disability have unique living requirements, and that may mean they are limited by their current living arrangements. We aim to maximise independence and source the appropriate housing for people with disability. You should have a house that truly feels like home, and has the right design and equipment for your needs. By having your own supported, independent living, you can have a lifestyle that is driven by choice rather than by the constraints of a disability.

Our selection of disability accommodation in Perth and across the South West are all central and conveniently located, as well as carefully designed to fit the preferences and needs of our clients. To ensure we can provide you with the best accommodation, and a range of choices, we are continually expanding our accommodation portfolio. You’ll be able to exercise choice when it comes to where you live, who you live with, and most importantly, how you live.

Before selecting a home for an NDIS participant, we assess your unique strengths, support needs and compatibility with other NDIS participants. This is to ensure we can provide the best possible living arrangement that perfectly suits your needs and preferences.

All of our accommodation options are professionally managed, with your safety, privacy and comfort in mind – so you can relax and enjoy your independence without worrying. Also, in addition to your supported or independent accommodation, you will have access to all of St Jude’s services, including community participation, therapy and support coordination.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) – NDIS Approved

St Jude’s is an NDIS SIL (Supported Independent Living) provider, with a range of supported independent living options. You may choose to share the house with like-minded people or live independently where you receive support with daily living activities. Our shared, supported accommodation disability services usually cater for between 2-4 people per residence, with 1-2 support staff on-site 24 hours a day. The exact situation depends on the needs of the NDIS participants, as we tailor each house to the specific requirements of all of the people living there. We also give you the option of choosing between smoking and non-smoking facilities.

With our disability shared housing, we provide all the support you need, including meals, personal care, medication and transport to appointments – while still giving you the freedom of independent living. Supported independent living gives you the opportunity to enjoy the company of like minded people with disability, a range of social activities, invite your families and friends into your home, keep beloved pets, and enjoy meals of your choice.

Independent Living Options (ILO) – NDIS Approved

Here at St Jude’s, we aim to cater for the needs of everyone living with a disability, as we understand that every person has their own unique requirements and wishes. So, we offer independent living options, NDIS approved, that enable you to live on your own as well. Our ILO (Independent Living Options) model offers you an alternative, more independent living arrangement with formal or informal support that focuses on your individual needs and preferences. Independent living gives you the option of living alone or with someone such as a partner, friend, family member, support worker or host family.

Drop-In Support – Using your NDIS Core Funding

Unique to St Jude’s, our most popular disability housing option is drop-in support, which provides you with more flexibility and a greater degree of independence. Our drop-in support is the perfect solution when you don’t require 24/7 staff support in your home, but you would like to know there is support close by. We also offer shared accommodation in multiple dwellings (villas or units), in a thoughtfully laid out complex, that has a support person next door to call on when you need help at any time of the day or night. This is a flexible and personal service that can be delivered quickly across a variety of accommodation options.

Drop-in support is unique to St Jude’s, and to ensure the ultimate convenience for our clients, there is no waitlist. Our drop-in support is covered under NDIS Core Funding, so it does not require an NDIS SIL quote for approval – which means it can be accessed easily and immediately.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) – NDIS Approved

St Jude’s has specialist disability accommodation that meets NDIS specific design characteristics that meet your exact needs. Our SDA (Supported Disability Accommodation) designs may feature modifications, assistive technology or SIL support to help meet your individual requirements. Your home should be a place of comfort and relaxation, where you can feel safe and looked after, and can easily carry out your daily tasks without any limitations of physical barriers. We make this possible and create a space where you can enjoy freedom and independence.
