Guildford Village Resident Turns 100 – Celebrating Alice’s Century of Memories

This month, we had the privilege of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone – Guildford Village resident Alice’s 100th birthday! 

A beloved resident of the Guildford Village community, Alice cherishes time spent with her family, loves listening to music, and until recently enjoyed drinking a beer in the evenings with her dinner. In her younger years, Alice served as a waitress in the army during World War II before continuing her career in cafés and restaurants.  

To honour Alice’s incredible century of life, residents, staff, and her loved ones gathered for a heartfelt celebration. The festivities began with a beautiful morning tea, followed by an afternoon concert that filled the facility with music, creating a joyful atmosphere before the birthday cake cutting.

The facility courtyard was adorned with celebratory balloons, a touching photo wall showcasing moments from Alice’s life, and a very special birthday card from King Charles. The excitement and joy in the room were palpable as everyone came together to mark this once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

We are honoured to be a part of Alice and her family’s journey and to have the privilege of celebrating such a significant milestone with her. Happy 100th birthday Alice!
