For those seeking short term respite care for a few hours to ensure support for their loved one, Home Care services may be appropriate. This allows carers to attend appointments or events while ensuring their loved one is supported in the comfort of their own home by trained St Jude’s staff across the Perth metropolitan area.
Eligibility for residential respite care is assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). Once you have received ACAT approval for residential respite, you will be granted up to 63 days of respite care per financial year. You are then able to contact the aged care home of your choice to arrange your respite stay.
