Engaging Allied Health Group Therapy Programs in Perth
St Jude’s is excited to announce we will be running new group therapy programs for NDIS funded participants across a range of ages. Facilitated by our expert team of Allied Health Therapists, these programs are a fun and engaging way to develop skills and reach your therapy goals!

Mums n Bubs Group
Our Mums n Bubs group is designed for children aged 0 -5 and their caregivers.
What is it?
A fun-filled activities-based session in a small group environment of up to 5 children and 5 caregivers. Children are engaged in a series of games and activities which have been carefully created by experienced Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech Pathologists. The program is also an opportunity for mothers and caregivers to develop relationships and grow their support network with other parents. Mothers and caregivers are also encouraged to engage in short informal information sessions outlining useful strategies to increase home play ideas and other relevant topics.
Who can benefit from the program?
Children aged 0 – 5 will benefit from the variety of activities in this specialised group program. It will be facilitated by an experienced Occupational Therapist who will integrate individual therapy goals for each child. Mothers and caregivers who are seeking support and opportunities to learn and build their capacity in caring for children with disabilities would also benefit from this program.
What skills does this program work to develop?
Building a support network, communication, social skills, free play with peers, paying attention, the ability to follow instructions, fine and gross motor skills, sensory skills, turn taking and so much more!
Collaborative Cooking Classes
Our Collaborative Cooking Classes are a five-week program designed for participants aged 18+ to build skills in the kitchen!
What is it?
Our Cooking Class is a five-week program designed to teach essential life skills, including organisational skills, food safety, cooking healthy meals, handling cooking utensils, and socialising. Participants will conclude the program with five new recipes to try at home, safety knowledge, and self-confidence in the kitchen.
Who can benefit from the program?
The classes are beneficial for individuals aged 18+ learning to become more independent within the home, and those looking to develop their social skills.
What skills does this program work to develop?
Kitchen life skills, knife safety, planning and sequencing skills, social skills, problem solving, fine motor skills, and attention to tasks.
Mindfulness Moments Group
Our Mindfulness Moments Group is designed for participants aged 18+ to learn self-regulation skills.
What is it?
A five-week program in which individuals learn new ways to regulate themselves through sensory immersion, gentle movement tasks, reflection, guided mediation and more. Over the program, individuals will learn about how their brain responds to different situations and new ways to help them overcome challenges.
Who can benefit from the program?
This group offers invaluable benefits for individuals aged 18+ learning self-regulation, those eager to discover new methods of staying present in the moment, and anyone open to enriching their journey by learning from the experiences of others.
What skills does this program work to develop?
Self-regulation, sensory awareness, emotional regulation toolkit.
The timeslot includes 1.5 hours of content, followed by time for tea, coffee, and socialising.
