Here at St Jude’s, our team of occupational therapists always take the time to understand you and the everyday activities that you enjoy. This is the best way to prescribe meaningful therapy plans with outcomes that align with your personal interests and goals. Our occupational therapists are experienced and qualified and will know the most effective way to help you achieve your aims.

These are some of the activities that our NDIS occupational therapy can help you to achieve:

  • assistance for daily living activities
  • Engaging in hobbies and recreation
  • Developing practical strategies to attending work or school
  • Removing barriers for being an active member in the community carrying out assessment
  • Implementing allied health professional recommendations
  • Providing ongoing therapy services

By developing a close relationship with you and understanding your goals, our therapy team can keep your plan outcomes at the top of their minds while they are conducting full functional assessments. Our NDIS therapists will also devise customised treatment plans, which employ strategies and exercises, and use equipment and technology to build your ability to independently undertake the activities that are the most meaningful to you.

We always strive to involve you in all of the decision-making processes as well, so that if you are uncomfortable with a certain exercise, you can just let your occupational therapist know and they will help you to devise a new way to achieve your goal.

St Jude’s NDIS Funded Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapy team possess extensive experience working with both children and adults in a variety of settings, such as at home, school, work and out in the community. As experienced specialists, our occupational therapists understand what sorts of exercises and equipment are needed for various activities, and will be able to plan the most efficient and successful way to build your abilities and confidence.

Here at St Jude’s, we are also able to identify when you simply need the right assistive equipment or technology to be able to take part in your preferred activities. Sometimes the support of assistive equipment is all someone needs to obtain freedom and independence in their life, as they then require less help from other people.
