What made you decide to work as a Client Relationship Manager?
My background is in business development and strategic growth, I have worked for various government agencies including Department of Health, WA Police and NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health as well as my previous role working in Employment Services. Based on my background this new position in St Jude’s Home & Community is a great fit with my experience and my personality as a people person.
What is the highlight of working as a Client Relationship Manager for you?
A highlight for me in this new role is being able to focus on bringing St Jude’s Home & Community service to new clients across the North and North East Metro, and facilitating new and exciting changes within the division to support the projected growth.
Can you share an achievement you’ve experienced in your career?
An achievement in my career has been the definition of the Drake lyrics “Started from the bottom and now we’re here” I started out as an administrative assistant and Patient Support Assistant in the old Swan District Hospital when I left high school and worked my way up, gaining experience and invaluable knowledge that has lead me to achieve multiple management positions culminating in my current role as Client Relationship Manager – North, in what some people might say is the early stages of my working life only just turning 28 in February.
What is something you have enjoyed about working at St Jude’s so far?
I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting the team and other staff at St Jude’s and being included in such an exciting time during the Disability Home & Community Services growth and development.
Can you provide a snapshot into what a day at work looks like for you?
Currently a day in the life of a new Client Relationship Manager entails a lot of learning and consultation with staff and clients, I am out on the road meeting new and potential clients face to face. I also work closely with my south counterpart Abbey Harris implementing new structures and processes to assist the division in growth and future development.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
I don’t drink caffeine or any kind of hot drinks, so if you invite me to a coffee meeting you should expect me to be drinking juice or something cold!
